FundYourPal Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how FERFORTINI LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as FundYourPal ("FundYourPal," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use fundyourpal.com and related services (the "Platform"). It applies to Donors, Team administrators, parents and guardians, sponsors, and visitors.

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Use. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Use.

1. Our Role

FundYourPal is a technology platform. Each Team that uses the Platform is an independent organization that receives donations directly through its own Stripe connected account and independently decides how to use Donor and player information it receives. For information Teams collect and use for their own purposes, the Team is the responsible party, and this Policy does not govern the Team's separate practices. Contact the Team directly for its practices.

Payment card information is collected and processed by Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe") under Stripe's Privacy Policy (stripe.com/privacy). FundYourPal never receives or stores full card numbers.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

  • Donors: name, email address, donation amount, optional message, anonymity preference, whether you elected to cover fees or leave a tip, and billing postal code or country where required by Stripe.
  • Team administrators and parents/guardians: name, email address, password (stored hashed), role, Team affiliation, and phone number if provided. Team administrators also provide organizational details (Team or league name, EIN or tax status, and other information required by Stripe for onboarding), which are transmitted to Stripe.
  • Player information (entered by adults only): player's first and last name, photo, jersey number, position, age group or grade, short story or bio, and fundraising goal. This information is entered by a Team administrator or a player's parent or guardian, who is responsible for having appropriate consent (see Section 7).
  • Sponsors: business name, contact name, email, logo, and sponsorship details.
  • Communications: the contents of messages you send us, including support requests.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser type, operating system, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, referring URL, timestamps, and session identifiers.
  • Local storage and strictly necessary cookies used to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this Policy and, where required, request consent.

2.3 Information from third parties

  • From Stripe: transaction status, payment method type (for example, card brand and last four digits), dispute and refund events, and connected account verification status.
  • From Teams: information a Team uploads about its players, sponsors, or supporters.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • Operate the Platform, including creating fundraising pages, processing donations through Stripe, and sending receipts and confirmations.
  • Display donation progress and supporter names and messages on public fundraising pages (subject to your anonymity choice).
  • Provide Team dashboards, player rosters, schedules, and sponsor features.
  • Send transactional and service emails (receipts, account notices, campaign updates from Teams you supported, and changes to our terms). We send marketing email only with your consent, and you may unsubscribe at any time.
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, chargebacks, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms of Use.
  • Analyze aggregate, de-identified usage to maintain and improve the Platform.

We do not use personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

4. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as follows:

  • With Stripe to process payments, verify Teams, handle refunds and disputes, and comply with financial regulations.
  • With the Team you support. When you donate, the Team receives your name, email address, donation amount, message, and anonymity preference so it can acknowledge your gift and manage its campaign. Teams are contractually required under our Terms of Use to use this information only for campaign-related communication and legal compliance, and not to sell it or use it for unrelated marketing.
  • Publicly on fundraising pages. Unless you donate anonymously, your name and message may appear on the Team's public supporter list. Player information entered by a Team is displayed publicly on that Team's pages.
  • With service providers that host our infrastructure, deliver email, provide customer support tooling, and store files. These providers act on our instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes.
  • For legal reasons, including to comply with law, subpoena, or court order; to protect the rights, safety, or property of FundYourPal, our users, minors, or the public; or to investigate fraud.
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for targeted advertising. We have not sold or shared personal information for these purposes in the preceding twelve months.

5. Anonymous Donations

You may choose to hide your name on public pages. Anonymous donations appear as "Anonymous" on public supporter lists. Anonymity applies to public display only: the Team still receives your name and email so it can issue an acknowledgment, and Stripe still processes your payment information. We cannot make a donation anonymous to the Team or to Stripe.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Platform and for legitimate business purposes, then delete or de-identify it. In general:

  • Donation and transaction records: at least seven (7) years, to satisfy tax, accounting, dispute, and anti-fraud obligations.
  • Account information: for the life of the account and up to twenty-four (24) months after closure.
  • Player profiles: until removed by the Team or requested by a parent or guardian, and in any event when the Team's account is closed.
  • Server logs and session data: typically ninety (90) days.

We may retain information longer where required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements.

7. Children's Privacy

The Platform is intended for adults. Minors may not create accounts, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Player profiles are created solely by adult Team administrators or by a player's parent or legal guardian, who must first obtain written parental or guardian consent for the display of the player's name, image, likeness, and story.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child's information has been published without your consent, or you wish to have it removed, contact us at hello@fromideatoreal.com and we will remove it promptly and, where appropriate, notify the Team. If we learn we have collected personal information directly from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it.

8. Your Choices and Rights

8.1 All users. You may:

  • Access and update your account information from your dashboard.
  • Request a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.
  • Opt out of non-transactional email using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. You cannot opt out of receipts and essential service notices while you have an account.
  • Ask us to remove your name or message from a public supporter list.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We may decline requests where retention is required by law (for example, transaction records) or where fulfilling the request would infringe another person's rights.

8.2 Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws. To the extent those laws apply to us, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used and shared, to access and delete it, to correct inaccuracies, to obtain a portable copy, and to opt out of sale, sharing for targeted advertising, and certain profiling. We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response; we will respond within the period required by your state's law. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

8.3 Users outside the United States. The Platform is operated from and hosted in the United States and is intended for U.S. Teams and Donors. If you access it from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

8.4 Do Not Track. We do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals because there is no common industry standard. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where required by law.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords, access controls, and reliance on Stripe for all card data so that card numbers never touch our systems. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach of security affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by Florida law (Section 501.171, Florida Statutes) and other applicable law.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

Fundraising pages may include links to Team websites, social media, or sponsor sites. Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised Policy with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify account holders by email or in-product notice before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
